With modern anaesthesia and techniques, root canal therapy is no more uncomfortable than a standard filling. Most patients are surprised by how straightforward it is. Post-procedure soreness is usually mild and short-lived.
Most root canal treatments are completed in one to two appointments, each lasting around 60 to 90 minutes. Complex cases with multiple canals may require a second visit to ensure the tooth is thoroughly cleaned.
